CUTe handles the recruitment of international students and does not commission any external institution, legal person, group, or individual to handle related matters except publicity and promotions, and to assist students coming to Taiwan undertake the necessary related procedures. 

CUTe will also verify whether any commissioned party has collected any unreasonable fees from international students, established any loan relationship with any international student, or whether any other violation of related ordinances has occurred, and when necessary, CUTe may check details with international students who are applying for admission. 

CUTe handles events related to the admission of international students or commissions an external institution, legal person, group, or individual to do so, and provides information that is consistent with the admission regulation, admission guidelines, or any related regulations.

The Ministry of Education has established a multilingual toll-free consultation hotline for international students: 0800-789-007. Services are available in Chinese, English, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, with dedicated staff providing real-time assistance for student inquiries. International students facing urgent issues during the pandemic or other emergencies are encouraged to use this hotline to seek support and obtain relevant assistance. For more information, please visit the International Student Service Portal.

International Program of Industry-Academia Collaboration 


  • Applicants that wish to apply as an international student must meet the requirements stated in the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. Any applicant or student found to be in violation of the provisions of said regulations will have their admission offer immediately canceled, enrollment revoked, registration as current student canceled, or any degree already awarded rescinded. No certification whatsoever regarding their related academic undertakings will be issued.

    • Eligibility for Application
      • Applicants holding a Vietnamese high school diploma must have an average grade of 6.0 or above for each academic year, and the diploma must be certified by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Vietnam.
    • Language Proficiency Requirements
          • Applicants are expected to achieve at least TOCFL Level A1 proficiency in Mandarin upon entry. They must pass the TOCFL Level A2 or above by the end of the second semester of their first academic year. Failure to meet this requirement will result in dismissal from the university, and the student will be required to leave Taiwan and return to their home country.
    • Proof of Financial Resources
      • Applicants must provide proof of bank account deposit sufficient to study in Taiwan (more than USD $3,500 or more than NTD $110,000) or proof of scholarships and bursaries provided by the government, the CUTe or private organizations. Proof of financial resources should not be issued by an agency, company or individual.

      • The amounts listed above represent the actual payable fees after the deduction of the scholarship granted by the university for the first academic year (2 semesters). Please note that certain items may be subject to adjustment, and the final payable amount each semester is based on the official announcement for that academic year and is for reference only.
      • Students are required to pay tuition fees and other charges within the deadlines set by the university. Failure to do so will result in dismissal due to failure to complete registration on time.
      • In order to ensure student safety, academic support, and administrative management, all first-year students are required to live in university-assigned dormitories. Failure to comply with this dormitary policy will result in dismissal from the university.
